This is an ongoing, self directed project centred around the unique beauty and individuality of irises. The idea arose from a Red Hot Chili Peppers lyric ‘A solar system that fits in your eye, microcosm‘ from the song Parallel Universe. I think about this lyric a lot because it suggests that the vastness and infinite nature of the universe exists within each of us. To me, eyes have a deeply spiritual quality that fascinates me and serve as a reminder of every person’s individuality and inherent connection to the divine.
